Fillers
Volume where it belongs. Sometimes to restore what time has taken, sometimes to enhance what is already there.
A dermal filler is a gel based on hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the skin. It is biodegradable and fully absorbed by the body. I use fillers to restore volume, define contour or soften hard lines. Sometimes that is restoration, sometimes enhancement; the amount follows your anatomy, not a standard.
I work with registered brands (including Belotero, Juvéderm and Restylane) and do not inject into areas where permanent implants are present. The result feels natural and for most patients is visible for 6 to 12 months, depending on product and area.
What for
Cheeks, temples, jawline and chin, nasolabial folds and mouth corners, and the balance of the face as a whole. Lips have a page of their own.
How much filler do I need?
That follows from your anatomy and your wish, not from a standard. Better a second step later than too much at once; in the consultation you get a plan with the amount and the cost.
How long does a filler last?
For most patients 6 to 12 months, depending on product and area.
Is a filler reversible?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed. That is one of the reasons I work exclusively with hyaluronic acid.
